Regional Minister - Mission
Carl takes the lead on the following matters:
- Church planting, pioneer ministry and mission.
- Inspiring, equipping and resourcing our churches and ministers for mission.
- Strategic oversight of new and developing missional initiatives.
- Encouraging closer links between our churches to support & resource mission.
- Oversight of care for and encouragement of our smaller churches.
- Home Mission - strategy, promotion and management of granting processes.
- Oversight of our Small Mission Grants programme (formally called the Stronger Together Mission Fund)- this fund makes small grants to churches to support new missional initiatives and outreach.
- Oversight of the SWBA Learning Community - promoting health, growth and development of member churches, pioneers & chaplains.
- Use of technology and media in the life and work of the Association.
- Creating, developing & encouraging of the use of creative arts in mission & ministry.
- Baptists Together (BT) Mission Forum and any other national mission-focused gatherings.
- Oversight & development of Children, Youth & Families ministries within SWBA
- Oversight & development of the INVEST internship scheme & link with BT young adults leadership development
- Ecumenical link with Devon and Cornwall Church Leaders.
