Murray & Karen Golder felt God call them from the Midlands to Penwith, Cornwall several years ago. In obedience they moved, not knowing what God had in store for them. Their heart has always been to share Jesus with those who don't/won't engage with established forms of church. Their prayer was that God would give them opportunities to meet people in the area. Initally they were able to use a Youth Bus which they borrowed from Creationfest - see the story here.
Then, last year, a Christian businessman asked if they could find a use for his shop unit in the heart of the shopping centre in Penzance! Karen tells the story of their Vision for the shop in his short video...
On 6th September 2018, after much prayer and preparation, the new Breathe Team opened the shop for the first time! Murray writes,
“Today [6/9/18]… Breathe began in Penzance… Our desire is to connect everyone with their inner creative, and help people find their purpose here in relationship with God! What is it? Its taking time to breathe, it’s releasing creativity, it’s allowing people to grow in relationships with each other and God.
Who’s it for? Everyone, but especially people who don’t know God, don’t do church, or can’t cope with a traditional church service… Please share this with everyone you know who would benefit from finding purpose in life in the Penwith area!”
Murray & Karen are supported by a Home Mission grant from the Baptist family… partnering together for the gospel (Philippians 1:5). If you’d like to support Breathe Communities and other similar mission projects please,
