Walkabout Nativity

On 9th Dec 2018, Creech St. Michael Baptist Church’s Fourth Annual Walkabout Nativity took place – a missional event where the whole community were invited to join with the church as they walk through the village, have lots of fun and hear the real meaning of Christmas.

Matt Bradley, Associate Pastor reported, “This year nearly 300 people from the church and local community, two sheep, a dog, a pony and an alpaca all joined in! Starting outside the local primary school and stopping off at various points along the way to see the church children, youth and leaders enact the Christmas story with a twist, we all ended up in the Baptist church for a moving message about how true peace is only found in the presence of Jesus. A little wind and rain didn’t put off the dancing, singing, kazooing and carnival drumming, and even the pony relieving itself all over the church floor is all part of what made this another memorable start to the festive season!” Take a look at the pictures below…

Please tell us what your church got up to over this Christmas season – we’d love to share great ideas with the rest of the Association family! Contact Carl with your stories…
