Dear New Housing Conference delegates,
After much careful thought and prayer, we have decided to postpone the New Housing Hub conference on Saturday 14th March. We recognise that we all need to work together to minimise the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and we have taken this step in order to keep people safe. We believe that this decision is in the best interest of not only those of us who would be attending, but also the communities that we will be returning to afterwards.
This is disappointing as much preparation has gone into making this a significant day for all delegates, however, the good news is that we are only postponing, and we are able to confirm a new date in the autumn.
The conference will now take place on Saturday ………. in the same venue.
If you are able to attend on this new date, we will be able to transfer your ticket over automatically, however, if you are not able to attend, we will be able to give you a full refund.
In the meantime, we are praying that we will all stay safe, and that each of us will find a way to live out God’s love in our neighbourhoods during this difficult time.
For more information regarding the rearranged date and/or refunds, please contact the New Housing Hub here - www.newhousinghub.org/contact
Churches Together in Devon are delighted to be hosting the New Housing Hub Conference, South West in Exeter on Sat 14/3/20!
In this time of housing crisis, new housing developments are springing up all over Britain. Whole new communities and even towns are emerging sometimes with little in the way of community facilities, often with little capacity to nurture friendships amongst the new residents, usually against a backdrop of local protest, and almost always without a church building.
Our challenge as Christians is to work out our response to this changing landscape.
The New Housing Hub is committed to encouraging Christians to be a prophetic voice of welcome, amidst the sea of protest, and to work together to share God’s love with every new housing area.
Through keynote addresses, a range of seminar groups, a resource hub and networking together we will explore how to step into the unknown physically and spiritually to welcome and bless new residents and create opportunities for the Christian faith to be explored and nurtured in ways that are appropriate to the new context. Whether you are new to new housing engagement, or already in this context and keen to connect with others; whether you are developing a strategy or looking to be hands on in a new community; whether you are a church leader or member; come and share and learn together so that between us we can share God’s love with every new housing area in the South West and beyond.
