These two days of teaching will introduce you to the diversity of biblical literature in the Old Testament enabling you to engage critically with it, relate it to its historical context and explore how your own context affects your reading of the text. By looking at the whole picture and at selected texts, you will have the opportunity to reflect on its meaning for your own life, the ministry and mission of your church, and the life of your community.
We're delighted to have Rev. Dr. Helen Paynter from Bristol Baptist College to teach these sessions. She possesses the rare gift of being able to communicate sometimes complicated concepts in a wonderfully accessible way - you will be blessed!
You can either attend just the teaching days as a Saturday Student (£25), or enrol as a 'Prepare, Feed, Sustain' Student to achieve a certificate from Bristol Baptist College on successful completion of a written piece of work for each of the 12 PFS modules (£50/module).
Teaching will be either 'in-person' in Exeter (best option) or is also available by Zoom.
