Bookkeeping for Churches

We have identified bookkeepers who each see their role as supportive, walking alongside leadership teams and volunteers. This can include training or taking on agreed tasks where this cannot be sourced within the church.  If you are considering such services, then please contact either or both of the individuals below who would be pleased to discuss how they may be able to help.

Martin Ingham

I have over 22 years’ experience in accounting and taxation working in an accountancy practice, where I qualified as an Accounting Technician, and as a company bookkeeper. I am employed part time and also undertake self-employed accounting where I deal  with all aspects of payroll, bookkeeping and filing documents with regulatory bodies including HMRC.

I am a member of a Plymouth Baptist Church and a keen musician. I play several instruments and I have played in church bands in several churches. I can be contacted at mjitaxstuff@hotmail.com  or on 07834 766843. I am happy to work in person , if this is appropriate, or remotely if travel distances are an issue. I will be pleased to discuss, free of charge, how I may be able to help and the level of charges which would be appropriate.

Karen Wilcox

I have spent the past 12 years working with charities and churches including being a trustee and treasurer at my own church. I am a qualified Accounting Technician offering a variety of services including bookkeeping, preparation of accounts, reclaiming gift aid and training in how to use financial software. I also provide support for trustees with HR, Safeguarding and meeting administration.

I am based in Exeter but am happy to work remotely with organisations based in the Southwest and further afield. I offer a free initial consultation. If you would like to know more about how I can support your organisation and how much I charge, then please contact me at plumtreebookkeeping@gmail.com or call 07979 468229.
