Created by Andy Saunders, Lighthouse Ministries aims to support and resource local churches in their ministry to children and families both in and out of the church.
Andy has been involved in children’s and family ministry for about as long as he can remember. Starting as a volunteer in the Sunday School at his local church, he is now just as likely to be found on the stage at Spring Harvest or running a children’s camp in the heart of Dorset. He has worked at Scripture Union as a Children’s and Family Evangelist, tutored at Moorlands College, and most recently worked as the Children’s and Family Adviser for the Diocese of Winchester.
Lighthouse Ministries enables him to draw on this rich experience to support churches and organisations who want to build creative and thriving ministries amongst the children and families in their communities. Check out the website at: www.lighthouseministries.co.uk
Lynda has been on the staff at City Life Church since 2013 as Assistant Pastor (Children and Families). Lynda created the So What? network in 2018 and has arranged conferences, breakfast hubs both in person and during lockdown on Zoom. She oversees the City Life Church children and families ministry programme, children’s outreach in the local community, visits local primary schools, facilitates ‘Encounter the Kingdom’, runs children’s programmes for church weekends away and has published various children’s resources. Lynda is currently a member of the SACRE committee for Cornwall Council. Lynda’s desire is to see children and families know, encounter and be empowered by God.
There is no parking at the Church but there are a number of car parks nearby. The nearest is: NCP, Market Street, Guinea Street, Exeter EX1 1BW.
You can also get there by train. The Church is just a short walk from Exeter Central Railway Station, Queen Street, Exeter EX4 3SB
