ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
God is doing a new thing… or maybe an ancient thing, again! Across the U.K. there are signs of new communities of disciples being formed, growing in faith, and becoming part of God’s mission in their communities/networks. And there’s also a renewed passion as God’s people to make disciples who make disciples (evangelism). We’re hearing of churches and pioneer communities in the South West beginning to explore what planting new communities of disciples might mean for them, ask how they might go about this, and consider what style of church plant would be most applicable to their context.
We’re delighted to be able to offer this one-day Conference to help us ‘open the lid’ on church-planting & evangelism and provide the opportunity to hear from those who are actively engaged in various forms of church planting and evangelism in the South West. This day is for all those who are interested but particularly for church leaders and leadership teams to come as a group – our hope is that the stimulus this day provides might be a catalyst for continuing conversations in churches and pioneer communities around these themes.
We have an outstanding group of contributors lined up who will each lead a 30 minute seminar to briefly explain their experience of church-planting and/or evangelism. Over the course of the day, delegates can choose four different seminars to attend plus hear from several other contributors in plenary sessions. (see Seminar Info below...)
Lunch and all other refreshments will be provided for you, and we will leave plenty of time for networking with each other and with the seminar leaders throughout the day.
If you would like any more information (or finances are restricting how many from your setting can attend), please email carl@swbaptists.org.uk
