Crucible Course 2
Crucible Course is a training programme that equips Christians to follow Jesus on the margins. It tackles a range of missional topics in creative ways.
Restoring Hope (2)
The first session picks up the theme of ‘shalom’ by sharing stories of peaceful activism and encouraging participants to identify actions relevant to their contexts.
The second session asks how followers of Jesus might engage sensitively with those who identify as LBGT+ and often feel marginalized by the churches.
The third session asks how hope might be restored for those who have been displaced in various ways and are among the most marginal and vulnerable of our neighbours.
The fourth session revisits the theme of shalom and integrates this with biblical teaching on ‘the restoration of all things’ (Acts 3:21). It concludes by exploring the vision of restored creation and community in the book of Revelation.
The Crucible Course runs over 6 Saturdays – see the course brochure here.
Cost: £35 per day
(a small bursary is available for members of SWBA churches – contact Carl of details)
